2018 — bring it on!

This is the 10th year I create a mosaic of my favorite work of the year. It’s always a great thing to look back but the end of 2017 was more about thinking ahead.

I was off from work during the holidays and aside from being with friends and family for the holidays, we stayed home and just relaxed. It felt so, so good. It also gave me a lot of time to think about what I want to do in 2018. I have high hopes and I love the clean slate feeling of the new year. I’m staying positive and getting more organized, that includes thinning out our belongings at home. This month I’ll be tackling a lot of ‘spring cleaning’ which, yes, I could’ve done during my days off but honestly, I didn’t want to.

We saw The Greatest Showman and we all loved it. The music alone brought me close to tears many times — those lyrics! With all the thinking I’d done throughout the week this movie was a perfect bookend. Spoiler alert! The movie ends with a quote by P.T. Barnum:

“The noblest art is that of making others happy.”

That is what A Little Hut has always been about. Sharing my creativity so that you can enjoy it in your own way. Being crafty with paper or any other medium is so therapeutic, relaxing, and just plain fun. I want to keep doing and sharing more of it all. The details of how that will come about this year will resolve themselves along the way.

As always, I want to thank you for your support last year. It always means the world to me. I hope that the new year brings us all a lot of creative fun, health and good times with family and friends. XO — Patricia

Wow! You had a very creative year! I especially love the pillow cases and the cards, though the fairytale drawings are wonderful, as well. (Actually, everything is.)
I was just browsing your book, home, paper, scissors, and I was really inspired. (I’m going to make the Light as Air Floating Cubby first.) Then I noticed your website info on the back bio. I took a chance to see if you were still online and you are! Thanks for sharing all of this and I will share the link online with my friends. What a creative soul you are.
    Kindest Regards
PS. I loved The Greatest Showman, too. Spoiler alert!!
I was so happy he resisted the singer after all. Phew! He had me worried. Lol.
