The power of one

I hope everyone is holding up, staying safe and healthy.

Here I am, another week, another flower. If you happen to have my Floral Alphabet it will be a great compliment to that set. This time it’s two-dimensional and simple but I truly believe in less is more — one flower, one leaf. That, and the fact that there’s a lot going on here.

I’m going to get a little personal here…

I’m fortunate to still have a full-time job (working remotely now) so I’m used to squeezing in time for my paper projects in the evenings and weekends. Unfortunately aside from the craziness we’re all going through, our house had some rain come in (we need a new roof – ugh!) — AND it was our study that got messed up. It’s the room where I do all the work that I show you here. So, my computer is now on our breakfast table, I took photos of the cards on our kitchen island and the house looks like a bomb hit it. Crazy times.

But… paper and creativity keep me sane. They always have and they always will. Is it too selfish to admit that this is as much for you as it is for me?

So there you are. Now you’re all up to date. My idea is to keep these little projects coming for as long as I can. I hope you enjoy them.

Back to this week’s project…

I made a couple of cards but imagine these blown up and added to the front of a blank gift bag — striking! I purposefully made the center of the flower separate from the other files. This will give you the opportunity to play with colors, textures and such. It’s all up to you. For now how about sending someone a sweet message via mail — until we can hang out together again?

Enjoy and take care of yourselves!
