The Northern Mockingbird Gift Set is based on an illustration that I drew the weekend that Hurrican Harvey hit the Texas coast. It was late at night and I couldn’t sleep. It wouldn’t stop raining, so I decided to draw. I ended up looking up the Texas state bird and I learned that the Northern Mockingbird is our state bird. I didn’t know that until that night.
