I love these boxes. They’re cute and fun to make but, more importantly, they are inspired by sketches created by my 12-year-old daughter. She’s very creative and reminds me, in so many ways, of what I was like at her age. I make a concerted effort to let her do her own thing and regardless of my hands off approach there is no denying that she is a lot like me.
Catalina started drawing these characters last year. The first time I worked with them I turned them into a pattern for products in my Society6 shop (the tote bag is my favorite).
Now we have paper Box Peeps. They were surprisingly a little harder to figure out than I thought they’d be. Regardless, I think they’re a good representation of Catalina’s original idea. She did give me a few pointers and I asked her advice on things like the eyes and the outfits. I got her seal of approval. Part of the proceeds of the sales of these boxes will go straight to her piggy bank. She fully deserves it!
As you can see the set comes with two boxes (a boy and a girl) and matching cards. Think of how many ways you can dress these up. I’m already picturing a fun bride and groom. Wouldn’t that be fun?
